A Category B automatic driving licence allows you to drive passenger cars with automatic transmission. The training focuses on safe driving, traffic understanding, road positioning, speed control, and driving in different traffic environments.

With Category B, you may drive a vehicle with a maximum authorised weight of 3,500 kg. The vehicle may carry up to 8 passengers in addition to the driver. You may also tow a trailer up to 750 kg, or a heavier trailer as long as the combined authorised weight of the car and trailer does not exceed 3,500 kg.  

If you pass the driving test in an automatic car, your licence will be restricted to automatic transmission. To drive a manual car later, you must pass a practical driving test in a manual car.
